Onamia Days

Boy I am sure falling behind blogging lately.  Life has been super busy for me the last few weeks, especially with Shane gone a lot with work.  I have had 2 family photo sessions to edit, a garage sale and a busy Onamia Days weekend the first weekend in June.  It was nice to have a nice weekend home with nothing planned to do this weekend.  Just house work, paper work and a couple hours of fishing this weekend.  Here are a few pictures from our busy Onamia Days weekend.

Here is Tyler in the kiddie parade.  Poor Collin was feeling under the weather so he wasn't up for riding in the gator.

Tyler with his buds Ethan and Will doing the coin hunt.

I totally got my but kick in the sack race.  Flip-flops aren't made for hopping in.  Ethan and his mom Lisa beat us bad.

The fun house was totally Collin's favorite.  I think he went on it 3 or 4 times in a row.

Here he comes down the slide.

Collin was totally pouting the whole ride because I let the guy put him on the ride instead of me doing it, hence the evil eye.

Loading up on the goods.

Tyler and the usual ear plug as the noisy fire trucks go by.  One never knows when they will sound the sirens.

Had to take a pic of my fellow coworkers and my next door neighbors holding the banner.

Tyler watching Kasidie waving the flags in the marching band.

Collin and his usual scrunched up nose look.

And again...

Life with boys...

usually consists of mud, dirt, sand, worm, leaches, minnow, bugs and frogs.  Oh, don't forget the bruises, scrapes, and jumping off or climbing on things they shouldn't.  I often wonder what it would be like to have girls?   I am not sure dolls and barbies would be quiet as interesting.

Someone bit the big one.

He wasn't so sure of wiping out in the puddle.

Someone is so wet he had droopy drawers.

Caught 4 frogs/toads by 8AM.

Nothing like frog hunting right away in the AM.  Still in his jammies.

Old school...

We actually have a handful of parks/playgrounds to pick from in our small community.  My kids, most of the time, pick the old school city park with the old metal slides, swings, and bouncy whichamathingy.  Tyler says he like it because he has room to run.  I think it is because he likes to go in the tennis courts and run around and pretend he is in jail.  It still has a tall old metal slide that give me a heart attach when the kids go on it.  This year I have mellowed a bit and don't get nervous when Tyler goes down it.  Yesterday we drove the gator to the park.  Tyler actually let Collin drive it home.  It hasn't been charged in a while so I had to give them a little push a few blocks from home.  It still a little bit of juice left, but needed a boost.

Children's Museum

Yesterday was Tyler's preschool trip to the Children's Museum.  He had a great time.  I wish we could have had 1 more hour tho.  There is just so much to do and we didn't get through it all.  Poor Collin hasn't been here yet.  One of these days we will have to get him there.  Here are some pictures of our trip there.
The three amigos!

Learning about turtles.

Beautiful spring evening

Shane had a great idea to head out to Kathio State Park after supper last night.  What a wonderful evenings.  No bugs, but had to trade for a few ticks.  The boys had a great time playing at the playground.  Tyler's new thing is jumping off the swing.  I am waiting for the day of a broken arm.

I got a fun shot of Collin as he was swinging really high on the tire swing.  Took a few shots to get the focus right.  I liked how the chain was just right to block the sun.
The boys picking rocks and chucking them into the swimming pond.

Hailey taking a swim.  I was waiting for the boys to pelt her with a rock.

 The boys finding agates.
We walked out to the dam and got to see a few fish trying to jump up the dam.  I just love the yummy light out there toward sunset.  I love back lighting, haze and sun flares.
