Annual camping trip....Itasca

This is our 7th or 8th (I have lost track) camping trip that we have done over the years with my college friends. We first started during our last years of college and then took a little break while we started having children. We thought we should try to brave with the kids and started up again last year. This year we met up at Itasca State Park. We were just down one friend, Jill. We will forgive her absence since she is due to get hitched in a few weeks. This is one of the few times we can all get together. We had a good time fishing, swimming, biking, playing, eating, and visiting by the campfires. The kids had a really good time and behaved pretty well. The weekend went too fast as usual.

Little Cutie

This little guys is the grand baby of my co-worker, Christina. She was patiently waiting his arrival and even got to be apart of his birth. He was even born on the same day as my best friends little guy was. I think there was something in the water 8-10 mo ago, because there seems to be a little baby boom with people I know. I think there has been 4 babies born in the last 3 weeks of people that I know. Here are a few pics of this little guy. By the time he got here he wasn't too sleepy anymore so we did what we could. I had to scrounge up some things to use, but we managed with what I had laying around the house.

Great weekend for a wedding!

It was a lovely weekend up north for a wedding. It was a warm one, but the clouds rolled in just in time for the reception. Shane's cousin Ashley got married this last weekend to Josh Dahle. She had a beautiful wedding and fantastic outdoor reception. The reception was held out at Shane's Aunt and Uncles' farm. It was wonderful. I can't imagine the work that they put into it. The food and ambiance were excellent and there was so much for the kids to do. The kids had a blast. I was lacking in the picture department, but here is a pic of the happy couple during their first dance. I missed getting a picture of Ashley in her beautiful wedding gown, but she still looked adorable in her dress for the reception.
Here was Tyler bellied up to the "Candy Bar." Oh boy, those kids wouldn't eat nothing for supper. Just kept sneaking the candy.

Well this is what I bellied up to. I won't disclose how many I ate through out the night, mostly because I lost count. Ooooo, they were oooh sooo good.

Well at least the kids got to work off the sugar high in the jumping house and on the swing set.

Oh and of course they got out the miniature pony and gave some rides in the cart.

Tyler said his favorite thing of the whole day was being a "Rock Star." He spent a good hour or two (almost) straight on the dance floor. He was just jammin' away. I tried to get him to dance with me, but he was too busy.
My sister-in-law, Carisa, and her daughter Jacey cut-a-rug doing the chicken dance. It took Jacey a little coaxing to get out there, okay more like me picking her up and carrying her out there at one point. I think she was enjoying herself here tho.

Here is a little pic of the kids before the reception at the Thief River Falls city hall.
Well we had a great time with family this last weekend. Can't wait to do it again.

Weekend visit to Fargo

The boys and I made a trip back to Fargo this last weekend. We had a great visit with friends and rellies. I even saw a few good friends while out shopping and a high school classmate/old friend that I haven't seen since my last reunion. It was nice to catch up with my old classmate. My parents and I took the boys to Toy Story 3. They really enjoyed it as well as the adults. I was even teary at the end. It was a great way to spend the hot and humid afternoon. I mostly made the trip to visit Niklas David, oh and I guess to see his mommy and daddy too. Niklas was born to my good friend Ember and her hubby Aaron. This little guys was the sweetest dang thing with that gorgeous head of hair and cute dimples. I would have thought he was all his daddy with that hair, but I guess he is a spitting image of his momma when she was a newborn. Here are a few pics of the little guy.
